Short for "voraphilia" or "vorarephilia": a fetish in which one fantasizes about being eaten alive or eating another creature alive (sometimes known as phagophilia). The most common type of vore is "soft vore", being swallowed or swallowing whole with no bloodshed. There is also the less common "hard vore" which involves the tearing and chewing of flesh. Other types of vore include macrophilia and microphilia, in which one character involved in the vore is larger or smaller than normal.
Many might associate vore with cannibalism; however, most voraphiles do not favor cannibalism. Vore is an imaginary fetish; that is, it is impossible to perform in real life in the way most fantasize, unlike most cannibalism.
Also included with vore is sometimes the "furry" community: people who are interested in usually anthromorphic animals (humanized creatures). With animals as characters in vore fantasies, predation is natural and therefore somewhat more realistic.

My strange passion for vore seems to stretch back to as far as I can remember. It was always hanging over me like a carrot from a carrot tree. I only became fully aware of what vore really was about two years ago, and I've spent the time since exploring the interwebs, scavenging it, and becoming a connoisseur of vorarephilia.
I guess you could say I "came out" of the hypothetical vore closet, for no other reason than I wanted to talk to somebody about my weird fetish stuff. This happened around a year ago, and since then, I've felt more free to discuss this kind of stuff. But it also weirded some people out, which was to be expected.
After another year of discovery, I've decided to start this blog, The Everday Taste. This blog is a collection of vore stuff, describing more about vore, the community, and my personal fetish experiences. This blog will hopefully provide me a place where I can just talk about vore and those who care to listen may or may not be entertained by my trials and tribulations.
So without further ado, I welcome you to sink your teeth into The Everyday Taste.
(also that's just a name I probably won't post everyday so yeah)
